Your questions, answered

A little clarity,
before you build.

Which insulation products can you supply and install?

We use Superglass and Knauf Insulation mineral wool, ACTIS and Thermic Technology reflective systems, sheep’s wool insulation, Celotex, Kingspan and Recticel rigid boards, and Glidevale Protect membranes. We work with some of the country’s largest manufacturers and suppliers, so we can source just about any insulation product at competitive prices. Share your specification and we’ll confirm availability, lead times and a project price.

Do you work on individual bespoke homes?

Yes. TSK’s focus is specialist insulation and airtightness for individual homes and carefully considered residential projects. We work with self-builders, architects and main contractors across Cornwall, Devon and the wider South West.

Can you help us work towards a low U-value?

We install to the agreed building-element specification and coordinate the practical details with your designer. A U-value is calculated for the complete build-up, including repeating thermal bridges; insulation thickness or a product label alone does not establish the finished wall or roof performance.

Do you build the whole house?

TSK specialises in the insulation and associated membrane and service-zone package. We work alongside your architect, timber-frame supplier and main contractor rather than offering a full house-building service.

Does airtightness mean a home cannot breathe?

Airtightness controls unintended air leakage. Fresh air should be provided through a properly designed ventilation strategy. Insulation, airtightness, moisture management and ventilation need to be considered together.

Do you guarantee Passivhaus certification?

No. Passivhaus is a whole-building standard involving design, modelling, construction quality, testing and, where sought, independent certification. TSK can discuss the installation package for a project pursuing demanding performance targets, but does not promise certification or a particular test result.
