Behind the installation

Care at the changes
of plane.

Room-in-the-roof spaces can bring together multiple slopes, short wall sections and roof-window openings. A continuous insulation and membrane strategy needs to work through that geometry.

The archive imagery shows rigid insulation lining around a complex roof form, and additional insulation to a gable. The purpose here is to show the installation work rather than claim a particular thermal or airtightness result.

Board joints, edges, window interfaces and connections to other air-barrier materials need to be resolved in the project’s detailing. The chosen products and tapes must be compatible and installed as specified.
